Functie
The fulltime secretary / management assistant will be providing support and assistance to the members of the PPD in administrative and organizational activities. (S)he will act as the central contact point of the group. English is the day-to-day language.
Among the activities are managing and monitoring the agendas of the staff members; process the received (e)mails and, if necessary, to take actions independently; prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes; prepare correspondence / emails and other (scientific) texts mostly in English and Dutch; arranging and organizing internal and external appointments; providing support for planning business travels and process travel permits and expense claims of all group members; planning and organizing events, such as for starting trainees as well as final exams and certificate ceremonies, etc.
Day-to-day activities will also comprise answering all kinds of questions of staff and students; the receipt of guests and visitors, and if necessary, help to arrange (hotel)accommodation and TU/e administrative procedures; provide practical information and assistance to guests, visitors and staff members; taking care of the registration of leave requests, illness and recovery reports (My TU/e).
Furthermore planning, preparation and support of group meetings and gatherings, as well as social events of the group are part of your work, as well as collect and process management information and maintain the group archive; keep up-to-date of the registration of personnel and publications (Pure) and maintain the internal and external website of the group.
Functie eisen
The new colleague is an enthusiastic, accurate, pro-active and flexible secretary / management assistant with a professional working proficiency. Preferably somebody with a HAVO/VWO level with additional secretarial education and several years of experience in a similar function. We welcome a good organizational, communication and interpersonal skilled person with the ability to establish priorities.
A very good command of the English and Dutch language (fluently spoken and written) is imperative. Vast experience with the Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. is necessary; preferably also with the specific TU/e related programs. A feeling for digital systems is required.
We particularly look for someone who finds it a challenge to support everything and everyone in the right way and who is certainly not afraid to take initiative or make decisions and who can work independently.

The department Chemical Engineering and Chemistry is one of the nine departments of Eindhoven University of Technology. It was established in 1957, shortly after the university was founded. The department is located in the Helix and Matrix buildings on the TU/e campus.
Group description
The post-master designer program PPD is part of the faculty Chemical Engineering & Chemistry of TU/e.
The process industry demands an integrated approach to chemical and physical processes. In PPD designers learn to build bridges between theory and practice. As a result, final projects in industry often lead to significant process and/or product improvements.
The program is directed at the broad field of the process and product industry and aims to prepare the course participants for leading functions in the field of process design and knowledge-intensive product development.
The objective is to develop their ability to define feasible targets, to identify and acquire the available means, and to synthesize these skills in the form of a completed result within the time agreed on. Linked to this all is the ability to work in and lead a usually multidisciplinary team.
